After cleansing, mist HOCL on face and neck. Allow to dry before applying a serum. If pairing with the Zyderma Clarifying Cream, apply the cream once HOCL has almost fully absorbed. Skin can be slightly damp!

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a gentle, skin-safe molecule naturally produced by your white blood cells to fight bacteria, viruses, and inflammation. In mist form, it helps reduce acne-causing bacteria, calm irritation, and support skin repair without disrupting the skin barrier. It’s safe for sensitive skin and can be used daily—even after procedures. Because it mimics the body’s natural defense system, HOCl is both highly effective and well-tolerated.
While HOCL mist will help to destroy unwanted bacteria, viruses, some fungi and yeast in about 30 seconds after application, the Zyderma Clarifying Cream uses microsilver to help keep the skin antibacterial for 24 hours or until washed off. Therefore, these products work in synergy on breakout-prone or irritated skin and is an excellent protocol to use before sunscreen in the morning!
Since hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is an oxidizer, it should not be combined with antioxidants like a vitamin C serum. HOCL can also denature proteins, so avoid layering it with exosomes and growth factors. When layering with anything other than the Zyderma Clarifying Cream, it is recommended to simply allow HOCL to dry before applying your next step, like retinoids or niacinamide serums.
